Thanks everyone - not much further on here as Octopus say I can't move onto their Go tariff but have tentatively* suggested their Agile (also now suggested by my neighbour) tariff, which - as far as I understand (not much!) might be cheaper at night, so the battery installer may have set it up with that in mind.
* Octopus hint that it might be more expensive for me..... but I have fully explained the setup I have here with a battery.
Octopus still haven't replied to my request to move to Agile tariff. Problem is it's all done by email and I often feel my emails aren't read properly. Have been copying in the 'issues resolution' team and now the CEO
It would be so much simpler if Octopus would just pick up a phone and explain in words of one syllable the logic, instead of assuming I know what all the acronyms in their emails mean.
The installing company will answer phone questions but they're in such a rush to get rid of me they gabble the answers and I can't write the notes down quickly enough.
With all the trouble and stress this has caused me, I'm afraid I'm wishing I hadn't bothered.0 -
Octopus aren't switching customers to agile at the moment.
They specify this on their website and if you ask them on the phone.
I've been in contact with them recently to switch my tariff to economy 7, which works out to be about 15p kWh overnight during off peak hours.
Each call I've asked if I can switch to agile - the answer is no.
Dibble has advised how to change the charging time on the app. Have you managed to do it?2 -

I easily changed over online and was active around 6 hours later.Failing that, as suggested above, go for their Eco7 tariff.Don't regret it, will be more then worth it once you've ironed out these small glitches.1 -
Condition of Go is that you have an EV or hybrid vehicle.
Apparently they changed the terms and conditions stipulating the need for the car...1 -
Sorry for delay replying - been crazy week at work.
Thanks everyone - slight progress as Scottish Power and Octopus have got their heads together, and my supplier finally has sent me the schematic diagram, lack of which was preventing my move.
All submitted, so with luck I can get moved onto 'whatever' tariff with Octopus.
Thanks to @Dibble, but I thought I'd wait and see which tariff I ended up on before changing the setting, as it seems I can't be on Go (no EV) or Agile now.
If I have to be on Eco 7 it may be worth leaving it to charge overnight. But looking at what the battery is doing now it's settled down it stays pretty well topped up and doesn't import much from the grid.
With the Growatt web portal, some of the coloured bars are obvious (Imported from grid), but I'm not sure what 'load consumption' is? And is 'self-consumption' what I've drawn from the battery?
Thanks,
Joy0 -

Load consumption is what your property is using. Self consumption is the draw from the battery.
