Getting pension contribution amounts double-checked

Hi all,
Perhaps you can point me in the right direction. I am currently doing my pension contribution planning, my SIPP really. My workplace pension I keep on autopilot. Now, how could I verify the exact contributions of my workplace salary sacrifice scheme for previous tax years? I have the provider's annual statements at hand and went through all my payslips.
I notived that the insurer's numbers on their annual statements are slightly lower because of fees I presume compared to my payslips. I've done all the number crunching but would like to get them verified as I don't want to go over CF limits, ideally get it down to the penny. What's the best point of contact? Does HMRC have these details (online)? Or the pension provider? Or the accountant doing the return? Last option feels like the easy way out. Would prefer to do it myself.
Thanks!

It's your responsibility to establish any unused annual allowance/carry forward available.
You could (do) have multiple pension schemes so no one provider will know the full picture. You could pay someone to do it for you but HMRC certainly won't provide you with the details.
Salary sacrifice tend to be the easiest to keep track of as they are actually employer contributions so there is no pension tax relief to factor in and they are invariably to DC schemes so no PIA complexities.0 -
It's only the workplace pension scheme I am working on and for that I used my payslips. Is this the most accurate way? The CF calculation is the easy bit. I just don't want to go over CF limits, so figured HMRC must have these numbers as well, how could they check whether one of their clients went over limits. I've worked it all out but was just looking for a way to get my numbers cross-checked.
