NHS bank staff unfair dismissal

I know what the answer to this is going to be more than likely but I just wanted to ascertain in its certainty. I am a bank member of staff that works at my local hospital and currently I am on leave for personal reasons. However, I spoke to my boss in person who says nothing has changed in terms of my position.
Therefore, what rights, if any, would I have if suddenly they changed their mind? I have been informed bank staff will be let go in the future but that is another matter that is sone time down the line. I have worked at my place for 4 years and work 37.5 hours a week.
Thank You for your time.

Forgive my lack of knowledge of how bank staffing works, but isn't it basically a zero hour contract? i.e. Hours each week are not guaranteed.

The title of your post is 'unfair dismissal' but there's no evidence of what your have in mind. I'm afraid you can't get certainty without knowing what 'the terms of your position' are. What does your contract say?1813 said:I know what the answer to this is going to be more than likely but I just wanted to ascertain in its certainty. Thank You for your time.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!1 -

This. They don’t need to dismiss you, all they have to do is just stop offering you any shifts.TELLIT01 said:Forgive my lack of knowledge of how bank staffing works, but isn't it basically a zero hour contract? i.e. Hours each week are not guaranteed.
Unless you’ve worked at the same place doing the same number of hours every week over the last four years and can potentially put up an argument for being an employee? Are you being paid while you’re not at work?
Bank staff are generally counted as workers rather than employers and workers cannot be unfairly dismissed, I don’t believe. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
