I had a similar quote from LR for my house in Hampshire. It came in at bang on 10k but that's because I had an extra panel and optimisers on the panels due to shading (dormer roof).

They have been my best quote so far, I'm still reviewing my options. I can't speak to the quality of the battery or the inverter though.

Would you mind sharing what your annual consumption of electricity is?

Isn't Sharp Japanese, why does it say German?

It's my brother's quote, not mine; I'm his expert (ex = has been, spurt=drip under pressure 😊) I think he said about 7500kw per annum; blinking hot tub 🙄.

At home charging of an EV is not possible due to his house position on the estate where he lives.

Can he get double that on his roof? He'll get more out of additional panels than the battery and the price should be similar.
    8kW (4kW WNW, 4kW SSE) 6kW inverter. 6.5kWh battery.

That's alot of consumption. That battery/ inverter setup is at the bottom end of the quality spectrum and Growatt has a terrible reputation.

If were you, I'd go for as many of those Sharp panels (Made in Germany) as can fit on the roof,  and if there's cash left over, invest in the Myenergi Libbi modular battery bank with inbuilt inverter and upto 20kWh of storage. That should cover his consumption nicely.
