Morning all.
It's grey and wet outside and I'm still under my duvet. I'll BRB.

All my good intentions for yesterday seemed to float away on the wind. I'm beginning to hate my own inertia but can't overcome it. Having nothing to do is very disconcerting. Perhaps I can do better today.Happy Monday to all.12

Morning all. Very misty outside again, just like yesterday.
Should have put some washing on last night but will do it later. Today we are walking with a group of friends, followed by a pub lunch. We haven't been out together since the summer so it will be good to catch up.
This evening I'm out to a talk about medical detection dogs. Was invited by somebody I volunteer with and thought it sounded interesting.
Gers I sometimes have days like that. Hopefully something will get you going today.
Hope everyone's day goes smoothly.10 -
Morning all. Off to an exhibition today in London. Very foggy here in Kent.
I read a very interesting book about the beginning of the detection dogs @Wicked_Lady
have a good day allCarolbee9 -
Morning all, thanks Gers- hope you perk up
think we all have days like that!
I'm off into town in a bit, I really need to start on pressie shopping, staring with DGS birthday next week, not easy when they say 'surprises'Usual watching DGC, yesterdays match was marred by one of the opposing team practically wrestling one of the girls to the ground & then her mother and some of the girls using some very colourful abusive language, - this is an under 12's team!We had a Sunday roast beef dinner yesterday, sticky toffee pud for the men. I made myself a keto friendly lemon drizzle cake with almond and coconut flour, heavier than a normal recipe but nice warmed with a few blueberries and cream. I've frozen the rest before I eat the lot :Right better get ready- have a good day all x

Morning folks and thanks GERS. I frequently have days like those, despite the numerous jobs I should be doing and can't summon up the enthusiasm to do. I blame the miserable weather for those sort of days. Yesterday we had fog all day and it's still with us today. It's hardly uplifting!
I have washing on the go but there is no chance of it drying outside. Once again it will be festooning the back bedroom and I really must get round to sussing out a dehumidifier for in there.
I have the 2 youngest coming after school for tea. DD is working a late shift and doesn't like them "home alone" now eldest is at Uni. She will pick them up on her way back down home.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, fed up or MIA, Happy Birthday to NELS' mum. Take care all be safe x

Morning all another one struggling with getting on your not alone Gers x The weather is foggy and damp as well as chilly I am off to the airport to pick DS from the airport with the new car could do without the fog to be honest but i am sure it will be fine other than that WM & DW are on . DD2 and Matthew are coming for a few days on Wednesday as her DH is on a course it will also give her chance to take DGS to see an elderly aunt of ours
Right better get on have a good day one and all stay safe dry and warm xSlava Ukraini7 -
Hi everyone,
I did a post yesterday but it disappeared so I lost the will.
Steve is still in hospital but the antibiotics seem to be working slowly, the redness is fading but he has a big slug-like blister on his little toe, which looks gross and keeps growing. I'm hoping they might want to get rid of him today to release the bed but we shall see.
Laura has taken Esben to a music session so I shall tidy up the living room while they are gone, I also need to collect a parcel and then there will be hospital visiting or collection which takes a big chunk of the day because it's a 45 minute drive each way.
I'd better go before my free window diappears.10 -
Morning All
Hope all are ok and had a good weekend
Gers I am with you on the inertia
Yesterday I did the Sunday roast and just knitted and watched catch up TV
Nels hope your DM has a lovely birthday
TA have a good evening with the girls
Carolbee enjoy the exhibition and WL enjoy your talk
Just had feedback from EA re last week's viewing. I am surprised when people seem to think it will be a "lot of work" if they want to redecorate as our decor not their taste
I must be getting old as when we bought this house we had to save for a few years before we could afford to redecorate or do anything. I remember the spare room had old 1970's orange and brown wallpaper and underneath was woodchip that had been glossed it took 5 weekends to get it all off!!
Very foggy here today so not sure what we will do with ourselves. Since I finished work I had thought about joining some clubs but as we were going to move it didn't seem a good idea to have to then start again when we move away
Well onwards and upwards have a good day all, hugs to all

Morning all! Still mild and some of my plants are flowering because they haven't had the memo it's winter..The geraniums are still flowering and the borage and the clarkia [ I'm guessing someone called them after a Clarke somewhere]. Today is more curtain sorting, got my header tape now so it's just add bits and attempt to sew straight. I want to resite one of the track rods but need to find out where the beams are to screw into. I'm fed up of walking into the curtains as they go across the bay. There'll just be a double layer on the inside instead and that'll help with heat and with cold. Leftovers for supper so no cooking required today but I will organise my cake ingredients. A spot of tidying wouldn't hurt either.Nels, happy birthday to your mum, hope she's over her infection. Snoozer, good to hear he's better, did they say what caused it? Gers, I have months like that let alone days. I found the trick was to do. Anything that involves a bit of physical work, stops you thinking and you just get on with it, but it does have to be something you think will make your life better or easier otherwise it's just like doing the dishes, which can always be put off [ for me anyway] Housework doesn't count as worthy of that kind fo attention anyway, it'll always need doing so it's no wonder not many people can muster enthusiasm for that
Ruby, hoe your sewage has been relegated to where it should be. Rosy, I often am quite shocked by how people are moved to a spot of violence and shouting by things like that. @weenancyinAmerica that did make lauh. I feel better in my winter bear fat now
Have a good day all, chocolates or cheese to the ones not feeling it....

@newroadahead yes, these days no one seems ot do stuff themselves very often. That's how we got this place so cheaply [at the time] no one wanted to do the work required to it. Our gain....
