It's a strange morning outside. There's thick white cloud with a pink'ish tinge through it.Yesterday I met up with my friend for lunch though I only ate some bread and butter, just to be on the safe side. After lunch I did a little shopping on the way home. There were patches of heavy rain which slowed the journey down a bit. I was home by 5.15pm and in bed by 7.15pm.I was texting with Camelot about being p***ed off with missing the show when she reminded me that it was still on. I've now booked for the matinee next Friday. 😀 What an expensive experience this is so it'd better be fantastic!
My plans for today are fluid and mostly unformed. I have a little IT task to do for a friend which'll occupy me for an hour. I'm looking forward to SCD tonight so will fill my time doing the little jobs I keep avoiding, unless I avoid them again.I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Saturday to all.10 -
Morning
Lovely blue sky already here today hope the temperature goes up again, yesterday it was 19 in some areas apparently definitely weird for mid November.
Gers thanks for the heads up on the James Martin interview. I didn't know there was so much to learn about the humble potato.
Kitchen clean planned for today and tomorrow this cleaning for the cleaner is blummin hard work!
Found a bag of turkey breast meat in the garage freezer yesterday. That freezer is like an igloo now so finding anything is really tough. Going to cook a tikka masala with the turkey today and no doubt there will be some nan in the wilds of the bottom drawer.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend x10 -
Morning @Gers, thanks for the thread x Sorry you didn't enjoy 'Banshees' and that you were taken poorly. I hope you're feeling brighter today. I found the film uncomfortable watching at times but quite reflective given I've just broken ties with a group of friends. Apparently, Colin Farrell is tipped for an Oscar but can't see it myself.
Off to FC shortly and not hopeful of a loss this week as am feeling quite sluggish. I didn't manage to get out for a walk every day this week as work was crazy and the weather was foul. We shall see.
DH has to fix something on DS2s car today as the MOT is due 10 December. I have the pleasure of defrosting the kitchen freezer. We also have the usual housework of bed stripping, dusting, hoovering and bathrooms to do. The driveway needs the leaves sweeping as the street trees are shedding and it's becoming quite slippery.
We will have meatballs and spaghetti with hm arrabbiata sauce tonight. Meatballs from a Donald Russell order, so I know they'll be good quality.
Hope the poorlies are doing okay and have a good day all

Dull and dreary this morning but still very mild, it was 17.5 degrees when I left work at 3.30pm yesterday, very weird.
Work clothes washed last night and dried in front of the fire, I've done the ironing too. Will put a white wash on when I get home later, I think it's to be fairly dry tomorrow so it can go out for a while. I just wear an old t shirt and pants to bed but there are no t shirts left, will have to wear a better one tonight!
Glad you got re-booked Gers.
Hope your DGD is on the mend dp1.
I'm off to DS1s today with DD, partner and the little one - his partner has now moved in and they are having a little housewarming afternoon. Will be good to see everyone and the DGC will enjoy being together. He's asked us to call at Costco for some ready made trays of food, I take it he's in charge of catering!
Forgot to say, DD and partner have booked their wedding for next October so something to look forward to.
Hope you all have a good weekend, take care. XX10 -

Morning everyone
I've just hung my washing out - it's very mild and calm after a very windy couple of days.
Camelot - yes little one has bounced back and is full of energy again. She's at her daddys in Glasgow this weekend so I've got a very peaceful Saturday. Enjoy your day with your family today x
Got to go for some shopping then I'll call at mam and dads for a cuppa and do his banking. I have some jobs to do and then will probably spend the afternoon with my new Elizabeth Strout book.
Gers - hope your tummy is better - there's nothing worse especially when you're away from home.
Right I'd better get dressed. Hope everyone has a good day today x8 -

Hi everyone,
Laptop has just told me its battery is low so this will be a quick one.
Unexpectedly Steve is in hospital. We went for a walk with Crystal in the morning and when we got back he complained about his little toe hurting, I looked at it and couldn't really see a problem. Long story short, by 9pm he had red lines tracking up his leg so we went to A&E who saw us very quickly despite the main waiting room being rammed. By 1am he had had IV antibiotics and I left because they wanted the orthopods to see him. Apparently they have now ruled out necrotising fasciitis and told him they will keep on with the IV antibiotics for the next 24 to 36 hours with a view to letting him out on Tuesday. He's not on a ward yet so I can't go across to see him but at least it isn't limited visiting like last time, I can go anytime between 11 and 8.
Have a good day.10 -
Morning all
Dry and mild here and looks to be a nice day, I have got a wash load on the go and it can be hung out for a whie.
The house at the bottom of our garden seems to have a problem with their drains and there is raw sewage seeping out into our gardenI went and told the lady yesterday and she called the people out so hopefully they will come today, its very smelly and I dont like taking the dogs out there atm, it happened once before and they had to dig some of our garden up to get to it, hopefully it will be sorted today as its not nice !
I painted half the lounge yesterday so will do the other half today its really freshened it up, Im going to order a new sofa as one of ours is on its last legs, Ive seen one I like from Habitat im just waiting to see if it goes in the Black Friday sale.
Dinner tonight is burger in a bun and chips OH will cook so a night off for me.
