Payday cut off date change

My employer wants to look to change our pay cut off date from mid month to end of month. His proposal is to pay us short by 2 weeks so n the new year and that those two weeks will be reaped back when we leave the company with our arrears pay. We are paid a month in arrears.
However that doesn’t sound right to me as we will be a month and 2 weeks in arrears this way

Sounds like a cash flow issue at the company.
Otherwise it makes no sense0 -
Not a cash flow issue but to bring labourers inline with office staff cut off dates. Just feel that to be paid short one month means it should be corrected on the following month0

Payroll cut off date isn't the same thing as actual payment date. What does your contract say? Is this a formal consultation the employer is undertaking, or a 'fingers crossed and hope it'll be OK' approach?Paintedarts1 said:Not a cash flow issue but to bring labourers inline with office staff cut off dates. Maybe suggest that instead of being paid 6 weeks in arrears as your boss suggests, you could be brought into line by being paid 2 weeks in arrears/2 weeks in advance.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0
