Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy..
Dinner last night was fish, jacket potato, beans and cheese or veg.
Half day working today then on some leave, can't wait.
Yesterday started slow then went manic - we'll see what today brings.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
I've been up for hours but haven't done much! I'm going to see The Book of Mormon tonight so will be shattered by the time it starts!
Work has been crazy, the whole place is being refurnished and there's stuff everywhere, not a great working environment at the moment but apparently it'll be worth it in the end! The behaviour hasn't improved yet but I'm staying away from any bother.
Hope everyone is well and surviving this horrid wet weather, we'll be rebuilding the Ark soon.
Ruby I love that you call your clients 'Guests', sounds so friendly and supportive.
Take care. XX12 -
Morning all.Yesterday I only went out briefly and spent most of the day in fiddly little jobs in between bouts of idleness. Today I'm off to Glasgow early doors. I'm booked to see 'Living' in the early afternoon and staying until Friday. It was another strange GBBO last night. I understand that scones and Victoria sponges don't make for visual excitement but the strange concoctions are just odd. I'll be glad when I'm not drawn to watching.Camelot - please let me know about HoM, I'm going tomorrow.I hope that poorly mums / dads and DGC are all on the mend. Happy Wednesday to all.12

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. After a mild day yesterday we are back to chilly this morning and the heating is on for a little while.
I had my usual lovely meet up with BFF yesterday despite a group of noisy young mums and kids at the next table for a while! I'm an old misery! Today is old biddy bus trip day, just two of us, and another lunch out. Naughty naughty. I hope more looking rather than buying will be done.(unless it's Christmas pressies)
GERS I agree this year's GBBO has been a letdown and I hope lessons have been learned by the producers and we are back to how it used to be next year. I have not really enjoyed this series at all and don't know why have I kept watching it!
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, fed up and the MIA. Take care all and be safe x

Morning and thanks for the thread nmlc xx Enjoy your annual leave.
I've washing on and will pop it outside on the whirly as apparently there's only a 10% chance of rain today... It's getting brighter out there. Will no doubt have to finish it on the airer later. Dinner tonight is a SW veggie sausage traybake which involves putting the oven on - can't believe I stress about this but that's a sign of the times I guess? Will bake some biscuits at the same time to make it worth it! BG still haven't replied to my complaint but I've been able to adjust my monthly payments down to £180 from £350 as of December, just ridiculous.
We saw Living on Saturday @Gers - a quiet reflective film. Think DH could have done with some car chases(!) plus the cinema was packed and I had two women alongside me discussing the movie the whole way through - so irritating.
WFH today - yesterday was very challenging - in between back-to-back meetings I managed to apply for a job elsewhere and when I hit 'submit' the website told me that applications had closed, 7 days before the apply by date. Not a great use of my time but at least I have an up-to-date CV - every cloud.
Enjoy BoM @camelot1001 and hurrah for biddy bus trip day @TravellingAbuela!
Hope you got the car sorted yesterday @-taff
Hugs to all the poorlies and have a good day all

Morning all.
Caught up with jobs yesterday but more laundry to do today.
This morning is my Community Larder session so need to be up there early to set up the tables before the goods arrive. I'm expecting it to be busy, as usual. Afterwards I just need a couple of bits of shopping before going home then I have a friend phoning me about something.
Tonight will be the left over chilli, again with a jacket potato. Need to get some pork out of the freezer ready to go in the slow cooker tomorrow. Bought broccoli and green beans to go with it yesterday. Friday we are meeting friends for a pub lunch and will think about food for the weekend nearer the time.
Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday.12 -
Morning all
Its actually not raining ! makes a lovely change to see the sun out and hopefully things will start to dry up a bit now.
Two clients today and we will go bowling this morning and then a walk along the canal and a picnic, Camelot thank you it does feel like they are guests and sometimes I am glad when they go homeGers there is maybe one who would have a game of cards and a couple who would like a jigsaw, its a fine balancing act, also an activity that you think they will enjoy for a few hours they do for about 10 mins and then get fed up so you have to think of something else ! They like to be out and about so I try and keep them busy for the main doing stuff outdoors.
Dinner tonight is chicken casserole which I will put in the SC this morning I will just do some rice when I get in later. DW has been emptied and I have had a tidy round.
I have been asked if I will take one of my people Christmas shopping this is the one who's mum takes all his money so I will be given a budget so that she cant get her hands on it, and we will go and do some shopping and come home and wrap the presents, we can do this in a couple of weeks which should be a nice day.
Have good days all xxx10 -
Hi everyone,
Ruby, that poor person, I really don't know how parents can treat their children like that.
Enjoy the film Gers.
Coxy, that's very annoying.
There's not a lot happening here, which to be honest is a bit of a relief. Mind you it's the calm before the storm when the new baby arrives - due date in 8 days time! Laura has her first official acupuncture patient this afternoon - it's someone she treated when she was doing the student clinic so it's nott completely daunting for her. She wants me to go along to have a treatment beforehand like a dummy run so that will take up some of the afternoon.
Have a good day.11 -

Morning all...Well the weather is certainly frightful today, when does it stop raining? Not that I'm intending to go anywhere but I would like to put the compost in the bin at some point this week... @Coxy11, they did pick my car up yesterday at three so now I have VW Polo which is very very nippy compared to mine but also very low slung so it feels like I'm sitting in the road. Still can't find the light switches...good job they were on auto wherever they are. Finally finished organising my tools, so under the stairs is quite tidy and I've removed quite a lot of junk. Today is start on the curtains for the bedroom, so measuring and laying out and working out what I need which will probably involve new header tape. Yipe, a trip to the sewing shop in the future! That's about all for my day, apart from general tidying up..Ruby, glad he does have some money his mother cant touch for himself. Hopefully, the present buying will involve something for ihm. WL, picture of finished hat available? TA, don't think you're an old misery, I've always been like that about noisy kids
camelot, hope there hasn't been a repeat of the bullying stuff...snoozer, congratualions to her! Izzy, well done! And enjoy the restaurant!
Right, hugs to people who are not feeling it for one reason or another, look after yourselves...

Morning all, no not raining here either
I went in town yesterday to start on the pressie shopping for the DGC, got a few arty bits but not much. I also went to the library & got 2 from one of my favourite authors and 1 for DH- it's tricky getting for him as I can never remember what he's read. I was going to pop in again but just as DS was dashing through the door he told me there was a big parcel due this morning! Better do some housework then, boo
The downstairs need sweeping, DH did take his muddy work boots off when he came in, but they dried off and when he picked them up this morning bits of mud dropped all over the place.Feels a bit nippy so might light the fire in a bit. Not sure what to do for tea tonight, depends whether DS2 & DGC stay as they unexpectedly did last week ! I was going to do beef stew but have a load of mushrooms which he doesn't eat. Our choices are a lot wider since he moved out, without his allergies/intolerances to contend with! Just DH saying I'm not keen on this or that
Well done on the stone weight loss IzzyHope you all have a happy, healthy day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)9
