BPO text Sky

God I feel like every time I’m moving forward I get someone else trying to rinse money from me for something! I guess everyone wants their pay off atm.
I’ve got a text from BPO to contact then re sky. No letter or otherwise. I presume they are trying their luck, I had a dispute about a payment sky took from my account by direct debit without my consent or notifying me of this charge ; my bank duly reversed the charges per the direct debit guarantee.
I presume this is something to do with this - do BPO have any legal standing here?

Not if they're just sending you a text they don't, no. If they actually want to recover a debt from you then they will need to write, so personally if this were me I'd assume that this is essentially a fishing trip, and I'd be ignoring it, and probably blocking the number it came from, too!
If you still have a contract with Sky then have you checked your account to see what it days on there? If you owe them money then I'd have thought that they would be contacting you directly in the first instance to be honest.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

If they write to you, then come back and someone can make suggestions of next steps.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
