Me organised!!! I just play at it every so often.
I wanted to move to Scotland, probs cause I like the thought of remoteness, though not being able to drive would be a bit of a hurdle:o Well if I manage to achive this challenge maybe I can save some of my savings towards learning to drive with bulk lessons and some as extra debt payments.

Skiing? Well, never tried but the hill at the back of our house is pretty steep :D You would need to avoid the rocks, trees, stone walls and the odd sheep.

Hi Janey, are you on the West coast side or the East coast side of the borders? I didn't realise you were as 'close' :rotfl: nor did I realise how cold it's supposed to be getting. Hmm... that'll teach me to never watch TV and miss John Craven on a Sunday morning! :D

Nyk we are sort of in the middle!
Check out the Metcheck website where they give forecasts a few days ahead. Of course, nothing is certain but the Met Office have given a small hint as well.
We are always watching the weather as we were caught out big time when we had the Big Blizzard and I swore I would never let it happen again. Already have strategically placed candles and matches around the house.
  • I have just spotted a book on Self Sufficiency by Alan & Gill Bridgewater for £3.99 plus free P+P. Does anybody recommend this book? While we're not in the position to be completely self sufficient yet it is what we are aiming for.

Hi TTDB, I would save the £3.99 plus p&p and just google 'self sufficiency' for an endless supply of info. If you find a really handy book, you can always try the library for some frugal reading :j
