Skipton Building Society Reviews

Hello,

I have an ongoing mortgage application with skipton building society and just wanted on some reviews on how other peoples applications went.

Mainly What documents did skipton ask for, how long did the application take

    last application I did asked for no documents and was offered in about a week.  All PAYE data was verified through hmrc verification and valuation was automated.  App to Offer was about 5 days I think

    Below a certain LTV and they may not need bank statements.
    They can usually automate ID checks if you have a stable address history and on the voters roll. 
    Income they can verify if employed and not reliant on bonuses/commission etc. 

    I had an offer with them in 92 minutes a couple of months ago.

  • I’ve just applied for a mortgage with Skipton. Took about 4 days. I’m self employed and husband is in the police. 
    Still had to send in x3 bank statements ID etc. this was 19th Dec process started 
  • Hi I have applied for a mortgage with skipton building society and they have requested HR employment reference is this a good sign ?
