Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy..
Lunch yesterday was roast pork, LO's so that will be tonight's dinner with some added fresh gravy and veg.
Back to work today - but only 2.5 days to work this week, then on some time off.
Did a bit of tidy up of my desk and shredded lots of paperwork - it seems to get out of control quickly.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
I'm just rushing for the bus, had a great weekend, could do with a week's sleep now! Flights all on time and really enjoyed seeing my friend even if it was only for 24 hours.
Wet and miserable this morning so will take a brolly, now need to save some pennies!
Hope everyone's well, take care. XX10 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC, you'll be looking forward to your time off.Glad you enjoyed your weekend Camelot, it will have been a lovely change. It's dull and damp here, yesterday there was a bitter wind blowing. We went to see a friend who is disabled, to see if her small wheelchair would fit in the boot of our car.We are taking her to the funeral of our friend who passed away a couple of weeks ago, it's on Friday, so we needed to know beforehand if it would fit in. It did, no problem, but she decided to take her rollator anyway. We went to Aldi while we were out, and I did a largish shop. It was busy there.Once home we just did the usual jobs. It's my Book Club in the library this morning, and I want to go to a couple of shops while I'm out.Hope everyone has a s good a day as they can, take care folks.12

Morning all
Pouring with rain here and has been for most of the weekend, its been good for the dogs though re fireworks as there have not been many at all.
Two clients coming today and we are meeting with a friend who also has two and going bowling and then for a Mcdonalds, we were going to have a small walk along the canal but wont if the rain doesnt stop.
Not sure about dinner tonight might just do something quick like egg and bacon, DW has been emptied this morning and I have put a wash on.
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
Morning everyone I’m meeting with my friend for a coffee and a catch up it will be lovely to come home no work all week feel better already.I haven’t a lot to do when I was doing the veg yesterday I made a stew for the slow cooker so that will be for tonight and there will be enough for the next night hubby can warm himself a bowl up and I will finish it off when I get in from WW . I managed to finish my Xmas gift shopping yesterday I didn’t need a lot as I have been shopping all year for things but I am going to wrap them up this week I called into Sainsburys and I got some shopping in there I was pleasantly suprised some of there things were cheaper than Aldi I got a good deal on dog food I know you have to shop around but it would cost more on shoe leather to run around them all and Aldi and Lidl are local to me but pleased with my few bargains I found. I was thinking of you yesterday Gers when I put my down gilet back on it was cold yesterday wet and miserable today but a bit milder . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It's quiet on here this morning, where is everybody? It was pitch black outside when I got up but it's brightening up nicely now. We had the same bitter cold wind as you yesterday SCARLET but we did have some nice sunny spells in among.
I am trying to get my head in gear for some internet banking but it feels full of fuzz at the minute so better put it on hold for a little while! Other than that just the usual mundane jobs to do but I have a treat at tea time as I am off to the carvery with DD and 2 of the DGDs which will be nice. In the spirit of MSE they sent me a code for 25% off mains so it would be a shame not to use it!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, fed up or MIA. CAMELOT I think you will be ready for a very early night tonight! Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning all, dull & grey atm. I haven't caught up with the weekends news yet so forgive me if I don't comment.Another busy weekend with football related activity, DGC and trying to keep DDog calm, horrendous last night again, they're so loud these daysMy niece brought the 2 boys later on in the afternoon, surprise visit which was nice as we've only seen them once since the summer wedding, she brought an invitation to youngest's christening next month, greatly delayed due to the pandemic I suppose.Tea was slightly delayed but as DH & DS2 had been planting 2 bushes on the banking at the end of the back garden & then were watching a match on TV it didn't matter. We had flat iron steak done with pepper sauce, chips for them and veg, followed by brownies hastily made after the visitors had gone, all made in the NGrill, the steak was the best I've done in ages. This morning I'm having an O**do sm delivery, not used them before. Again I've got a few Xmas extras. I'm not doing too well with the present buying for the DGC, getting a bit older now there isn't the easy option of toys anymore. Need to tidy up the back, didn't have time to clear the garden waste as it got dark. Easy left over curry tonight so easy tea.Glad you enjoyed seeing your friend Camelot, bet you'd nearly lost your voices with all the talking!Hope everyone is ok & has a nice day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all. I've enjoyed another small lie-in, these dark mornings keep me asleep a little longer. I still wake at about 5.30am but can now go back to sleep for a wee while.Yesterday morning the sky brightened up so I ventured out, I hadn't gone 200 yards when really heavy rain started so walking was out. So, I reverted to slothfulness. I really will have to start doing exercises again just to get some activity into my life.Today it's already horrible weather, more rain sweeping through the area, I may be forced into oiling my fridge freezer and microwave, that always makes then clean and shiny. Then there's the untidy pile of newspapers to tame before I need to use them for the woodburner.Izzy - my gilet came out a few days ago, it's so cosy. 😀I hope that everyone is keeping well. Happy Monday to all.10

Morning! Up and at em today. the mattress topper seems to have made a difference last night, I didn't wake up with as many aches and pains as usual. Already, up and showered which is a minor miracle for me. Today is all about resealing the shower tray, reattaching the cistern to the wall [ it's not off off but it's not on] and then having a look at my ebay curtains with a view to changing the bedroom ones which could do with being a bit thicker. Just got distracted by marquee googling [ wet weather extra shelter for december] I can see this blummin thing taking up all my thoughts from now on, I've never organised a party at home before, only for work parties where my general rule was 'get them drunk, they'll enjoy themselves'. worked too.Camelot, nice that you had a good catch up. Scarlet, always good to be prepared...TA, enjoy your carvery treat! Hope you're all wrapped up warm today, it's a bit chilly....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi8

Hi everyone,
Sorry I've been MIA. I've been so busy I didn't even manage to read the threads so I'll have to go and do that after.
On Friday I had an SOS from Crystal who'd had a sleepless night so I spent the day there baby wrangling while she got some sleep. Typically he was as good as gold while I was there and I had lots of cuddles.
Saturday was taken up in making Esben's birthday cake, he wanted a two tier Spiderman cake, the top one strawberry and the bottom one chocolate. The cakes turned out well although the web icing was a trifle wonky. He was very happy with it though and as we were driving to the firework display later he very sweetly said to me "Thank you for making my cake Nonna"
Yesterday was the birthday and a party at the local soft play centre, chaotic, but much less work than doing it ourselves when Laura is 38 weeks pregnant. He got lots of lovely gifts but a couple of the parents thought it was a good idea to give him presents that included sand, we've put those away for the time being.
I'm hoping for a quiet day today because I am very tired.
Have a good day.9
