Free £10.00 Top Up @ Tesco With Every New PAYG Phone

Not sure if this will work for everyone but hope it does...

I have just returned from my local Tesco where i bought a new LG phone for my girlfriend for Xmas. The till "spat" a free £10.00 top up.

When the phone i got was the wrong colour i exchanged it for another one of higher value and guess what? Another £10.00 top up.

As i say not sure if this will work for everyone but seems too co-incidental that it worked twice in one visit?

The store was Fulborn, Cambs if this is of interest.

This often happens when customers exchange phones. Customer services are supposed to cancel the second top up voucher but they often forget and hand it over. Customers also buy the cheap phones just to get the top up voucher and then return the phone for a refund, keeping the top up for their own phone.

So what is the cheapest phone then from Tesco? And what do you actually say to CS when you take your phone for a refund?

Can't remember the model but theres one on the Tesco network for 14.97 I think its a nokia.

You can return a phone within 28 days in its original condition for a refund.
