Not on electoral roll

I may be moving into rental next year after selling my house, I realise it can take along time to get registered on an electoral roll, ive know it take a year, how would it effect my mortgage chances if I was still registered at previous address?

Would only being in rental for a few months effect my likelihood of getting a mortgage, lenders like stability I understand? I have been a current address for 6 years.

It should make little/no difference. You'll be asked for evidence of identity and address either way.
