in Cutting tax
Just looking at this section here;
Check if you can claim flat rate expenses for uniforms, work clothing and tools - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
Is this open to a certain level of interpretation ? Some of the descriptions seem a bit vague.
Also are these fix rate claims in addition to the general expenses (WFH) claim of £6 per day which can be claimed by those eligible?
Thanks

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Anything is potentially open to interpretation, but what specifically do you have in mind?0

Assuming it's just a typo but the WFH tax relief is on £6 per week, not day. Yes, the uniforms/work clothing/tools tax relief can be claimed in addition to WFH relief (which now has very strict criteria btw).0

These expenses are (or at least used to be) agreed between HMRC and trade associations, unions etc. Prior to retirement I was with the ambulance service and there was a flat rate allowance included in our PAYE coding to cover the cost of cleaning our uniform. Regardless of how much was incurred on laundry, it was a flat rate allowance, not a figure that we could submit on an individual basis.0
