Voluntary NI Contributions

This might just be the answer I've been trying to extract from the DWP for the past 5 months. I rang them in May to ask whether it would be worth my while to pay any missed contributions. In June I received 3 pages of utter gobbledegook (I won't even dignify it with the term 'response') which repeated & contradicted itself 3 or 4 times & apart from being appallingly badly punctuated with awful spelling, still failed to answer my original question. How they can send out what was obviously a bog-standard letter that no one could be bothered to amend or check before sending is beyond belief. Since then I've rung on 5 separate occasions & each time been told '7-10 days'. Each time you ring, the 7-10 days seems to re-set the clock & start over. How is it possible that a Govt department gets away with such woeful 'service'. And if I never hear another recorded message telling me they're "experiencing abnormally high volumes of calls..." If they know that - deal with it & get more staff on the job!! I'm pig sick of organisations STILL hiding behind Covid as an excuse for awful service.

Was it the Future Pension Centre you were dealing with, as they're the ones who'd answer that?584467 said:This might just be the answer I've been trying to extract from the DWP for the past 5 months. I rang them in May to ask whether it would be worth my while to pay any missed contributions.
