Hi All,
My OH has just switched from PowerNI to Click Energy, citing a much cheaper tariff for pay as you go users. I am unfamiliar with this electric company, can anyone provide any information, and has my OH made a good decision?
Thanks

Click Energy also have a standing charge of 12.363p (Keypad) or 9.837p (Credit Meter) per day.
Electric Ireland appear to be the cheapest at the moment, with no standing charge.1 -
It is the standing charge that us the kicker - had one of the (think it was someone else) door step me with a leaflet "cheapest unit rate" - I just said "yes, but you have a standing charge" as I closed the door.
Never do it on the doorstep is my advice - take your time & plot out a year's usage, factoring in the rate, bribe/bonus/welcome credit & the standing charge - those with a standing charge & a welcome bonus can come out on top, but make sure you swap after a year (which means starting after about 11 months by the time it goes through).
Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!1
