Nationwide mortgage - choose a new deal

Hi I am coming to the end of my fixed rate period. The fixed rate period will end in February

I can now choose a new deal online on the Nationwide mortgage manager website. The interest rates are of course high so I'm wondering whether I should choose a new deal now or wait it out until closer to February to see if the rates will go down a little. Some folks seem to think the rates will go up, some others that they'll go down.

Is anyone familiar with the Nationwide system? If I choose a new deal now and then say in January the rates are actually lower, can I go back, cancel my selection and pick a new deal or am I stuck with the deal I choose now?

@robertf82 I'm pretty sure you can cancel the booked PT (rate switch) before completion, and change to a new deal but from what another direct Nationwide PT customer posted on the forum, you may need to wait a month after cancelling before picking a new deal.

Best speak to Nationwide to be doubly sure.
