Remortgaging today; the wait is killing me

Anyone else in the same boat and how are they coping with it?

I had no news this morning yet and when I called, automated voice only said they're extremely busy with remortgaging and to wait.

What’s the stress? When we did it recently everything was signed and sorted weeks ahead of the remortgage date. Not like you have a van load of your belongings waiting for the chain to complete? What’s going to go wrong?

I read on here and other media when people's completion was delayed, they had to pay more for the period they were on SVR. Some were delayed by so much their offer expired and so on. Sounded to me like a nightmare.
