State pension missing years

My husband is self employed. On MLs advise we looked at his state pension forcaste which is £805 a month, which appears to be the maximum he (or anyone else) will get when retirement comes.

However he does have a few years when he has not fully paid NI contributions.

My question is, Is it worth him paying those outstanding 3 years if that won't effect how much he gets as he's at the maximum already?

I hope this makes sense. Thank you

If the figure you are quoting is the amount he has got right now and not the forecast of what he can expect if he carries on contributing (the forecast usually gives both) then paying the outstanding years won't increase his pension and so is unnecessary.
If he is at the maximum right now the forecast should contain wording along the lines of ' your pension cannot be improved any further'. The weekly amount should be given as £185.15

Thank you,  yes that is what he is predicted. We nearly brought the extra years, so I am very glad I checked rather than using all our savings.
