In LIDL yesterday - cashew nuts now cheaper than Brazils or pistachio. I remember when cashews were THE most expensive!
Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!

Pistachios have always been the most expensive as far as I know (unless you mean pistachios still in their shells, in which case it's obviously not a like-for-like comparison).2

Surely macadamias are the most expensive nuts? I've never understood why people rave over them (I almost typed 'go nuts') but they seem to and they are very expensive.0

I do love macadamias actually! But they're something I would always use in combinations with other ingredients, as opposed to cashews or almonds which I'd snack on just as they are.0
