Can you kindly advise per experience if having a credible property valuation can be used to challenge current band.
Valuation = £175k = c£43k in this area in Apr 91. This is lower band B. House is currently C. Haven't check neighbours - but even if theirs is higher wouldn't a professional valuation be strong(er) evidence?

Using a valuation carried out over 30 years after the CT valuation date and using indices to work back is NOT strong evidence. If a valuation had been carried out during the period 1990 - 1993, then that would be much better evidence, but not the best. The best evidence will always be an actual sale around April 1991.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales1
