Good morning folks.
The kettle is boiling so I'm about to make myself a coffee. BRB.

My jaunt to Glasgow has been lovely. I arrived in time for a quick bite to eat before the live streaming started. It was from Argentina and not Brazil as I said yesterday. 😀
The concert was outstanding, I really wanted to be there but can't cope with these huge venues. River Plate Stadium holds approx 74,000 and looked magnificent.I was in my hotel by 6.30pm, bought a tantrum doughnut on the way, made a coffee and was given a complimentary glass of wine by the receptionist. Cue watching SCD. 😀
Overnight I had a frantic text exchange with my middle nephew who lives in Seoul. He hadn't been near the terrible event, declared himself too old for it and had been on the golf course. Such an awful tragedy there.Breakfast starts at 8.00am, once I've had it I'll do a little food shopping and then head home. A most enjoyable interlude. There's only my wristwatch to change. My car radio is now correct, I didn't change it six months ago.I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Sunday to all.10 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, glad you enjoyed the concert and happy to hear your nephew is safe.
I woke up really, really early (4am) and couldn't get back to sleep so I've made the little one some oatie biscuits and a huge pan of soup that will do me all week.
Its quite blustery out this morning, I'm going for a dip in the loch, haven't been for ages but I've been missing it. Can't imagine it'll be a very long dip, it'll be pretty cold. Costco trip later if my friend is up to it.
Went shopping yesterday to Lidl as I had a £5 off a £40 spend, really just bought some Christmas goodies to put away and some logs as everything seems to be a lot more expensive than Aldi, quite a few gaps in the shelves too.
Washing almost dried yesterday but the rain set in for the afternoon so it was finished off on the airer in the living room overnight, the fire did it's magic again! Cleared quite a lot in the garden, the brown bin is now full so can't do any more,
Lovely to hear from you Marie.
Hope everyone is well, have a peaceful Sunday, take care. XX

Morning...I did not get my anticipated lie in, and no idea why i'm up so early, but I am determined to stay in my floor length hoodie today and not get dressed. My sister didn't make it up after, maybe next year... We came fourth but I met a couple of new people and it was a fun night out in a gentle kind of way...And I'm going to another one next Friday but this is a charity one and I've never been before...Apparently, it's a lot harder. Today I am not doing anything apart from maybe some computer games, and a bit of tv, catch up on the gbbo, OH likes to watch that too so I can't power through it on my own. I might do some sewing but thats it.Gers, glad he's OK, it just sounds terrifying. Snoozer, glad you're coming round. Marie, nice to see you..camelot, you only have to wave the vague idea of food in front of me and I'm there! Sounds lovely and how nice of them. nanny, well done on subduing your recalcitrant wardrobe...Have a good day if you can, baileys if you can't...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi8

It's a bit grey and gloomy here. I was going to do some washing but it's going to tip down. Yesterday I cooked home made pizza. It was lush. Pizza is so expensive now, nearly a fiver for one, so I made pizza dough, made sauce, slapped on toppings from the fridge and freezer. It made 3 huge pizzas probably for a couple of quid. Plans today is to do not a lot. Dinner is gammon, roast tatties and veg. Plus cake and custard for pudding. Have a good day all 😊.8 -
Morning all, bit dank and dark here. Just finished a jigsaw, and now having coffee and catch up. Really must have a freezer rummage, it’s full of allotment fruit, a nice problem to have though!
Have a good day all, keep safe and warmCarolbee9 -
Morning, just had a big catch up with all your news from Friday onwards, we were out nearly all day yesterday, the usual football, and then went out for our tea after the match with DS2 and DGC, made a nice change. So menu plan exchanged for tonight, lasagne or pizza, nice and easy.Gers just had to search about Seoul as haven't seen any news, what a tragedy.Glad DN is ok. We saw Coldplay at our football stadium way back in 2006 (I think
) , one of the best I've ever been to, glad you enjoyed it.
We have a free day today as DGD football match has been called off, the opposition couldn't get enough players, probably due to half term and Halloween. Probably a lazy day ahead although there are 2 azaleas which DH rescued from the job which could do with going in the ground. I am minding DGS tomorrow as they have a training day, DGD is a bit put out as she is back to school.Glad you're feeling a bit better Snoozer, and nice to hear from you Marie, have a good day all x

Raining here and set in for the day I think, I did not sleep well and was awake during the night so slept till 9 this morning.
OH has put his work clothes onto wash they will have to go on the airer, we will light the log burner later to help dry them off, we got another load of free wood which really helps, we have not had to put the heating on yet, mind you its still very mild !
Ive got a bit of pork for dinner tonight will do roasties and sweede and carrot mash and cabbage with it, mum is coming for dinner which will be nice.
Gers I am glad your nephew is ok, what tragic news for all involved xxx
Marie nice to see you xx
Have good days all xxx9 -
Hello all, we've had lashing rain this morning but it's eased off for now. I have stripped the bed but I'm not sure if I can trust the weather with washed bedding today, it's supposed to be heavy showers on and off all day.
I'll re-make the bed in a bit and sort out my fridge freezer, well the freezer part as the messy elf has obviously made a visit. This afternoon we're going to DD's to celebrate DGD's 11th birthday and we'll pick Dad up on the way down. DGD did video call us last night, think it was just to make sure we had some presents for her, there's no flies on that one 😂.
Right a coffee calls before I tackle the bed.
Take care all

Morning everyone
After having a lovely day with little nephew on Thursday, I've been in bed ill. I felt awful on Friday and doctor give me antibiotics for a chest infection, but they haven't helped so I'm thinking I must have flu. Or maybes with having Long Covid I'm going to feel so much worse every time I get a cold. Who knows but I ache all over and have told my boss I won't be in work tomorrow. I feel it's such a waste of time being in bed ill.
Gers pleased you enjoyed the concert. I think the best I ever saw was Paul McCartney at Birmingham...not sure when but I suppose it must be over 30 years ago! I've still got my t shirt... also still got the one I bought at Paul Young which I think was at Newcastle and must have been almost 40 years ago....it was my first concert.
It's awful what's happened in South Korea - for some reason I didn't think they'd celebrate Halloween there. It must have been terrifying.
Nice to hear from you Marie x
Well I'm going to put a podcast on and get nice and comfy. Little kitten is dashing up and down the stairs like a cray cat! Hope everyone has a good day x9 -
