Looking for ipa similar to brewdog that’s made from uk hops

Options
Hi

im disappointed to find out that none of brewdogs beers are made with uk grown hops. I know they do “offsetting” but I don’t believe that actually does anything… so I’m looking for something similar to punk ipa but that’s brewed in the UK and from UK hops.

grateful for recommendations!

Could do but it’s a green question isn’t it?
  • True.....or brownish upon the brew!!
    Tasty nevertheless.
  • Look for Fuggles and Kent Goldings as hop varieties. There's more varieties grown in the UK, but those two aren't more widespread although Goldings is grown elsewhere but is probably labelled as such e.g Styrian Goldings

If you see Citra, Satz and the like they'll be grown elsewhere. Cascade is a US hop but is grown in the UK: Herefordshire, Kent, Norfolk, Sussex, Gloucester..  It's not straightforward.

Best bet is try a beer or homebrew forum. I just drink the stuff..

Sorry I can't give you a specific recommendation, most of the modern IPAs don't float my boat.
I see there's a British Hops Association with their own branding for products made with them:
There were a few newspaper articles about beers brewed with British hops in the mid-20teens, but I can't find a recent one. Here are some examples:
Behind both those articles is Sophie Atherton, https://afemaleview.net/ but she doesn't seem to have published much about beer in the past three years. (Her current blog is https://sophieatherton.com/ .)

Not exactly back from my break, but dipping in and out of the forum.

    Hi
Goldings, Fuggles, Herefordshire, Pale Ale, hops local to brewery ... probably sounds like something like beers from .... https://theludlowbrewingcompany.co.uk/our-beers/ ... would fit the bill on that one, but then again, if you're not anywhere near Ludlow there's the environmental impact of transporting heavy finished product as opposed to lightweight hops to consider ...
... as well as growing much of what we need ourselves & sourcing a good proportion of our food with local suppliers of locally grown produce, I'll later be supporting a local business with on site brewery which also sources on a local basis ... it all comes down to appreciating the concept of food miles ...
