Ex pat re pensions forecast

My husband and I moved to Ontario Canada in 2003 being born and worked in UK. I was 41 and my husband 43 at the time.in 2018 I requested a pension forecast from Works and Pensions by mail and received after a few weeks. After watching Martin Lewis show I was glad to learn you can access (or so I thought) HMGov website to check your NI online and pension info. I got a code access number and proceeded to enter my name, DOB, and NI number. Imagine then my surprise to go to next section "verify your identity" by producing a valid UK passport number, driving licence or credit check using UK address. I don't have a UK passport anymore, my driver's licence is not up to date (you can't renew unless you live in UK) so I could not access the Pensions website. I tried phoning the Works and Pensions but did not get an agent. May try again next week. My question is does anyone know if there is any other website or branch of HM Gov that caters for expats. I have the 2018 forecast but wasn't sure if those figures had changed. We ate both not eligible to claim for a few years yet but just getting ducks in a row

I am afraid by being unable to meet the frankly stupid verification measures you need to use the telephone or written methods.  It is unlikely that anything has changed since 2018 apart from the inflationary increases to both the pension amounts and payment rates.

You can email the IPC (quicker than a letter) - link above.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

Follow all the suggestions above and also get a UK passport. You should keep all your passports up to date for travel and things like this IMO silly verification. I'm a UK expat living in the US and hold both US and UK passports and log into the UK Gov portal to check on my annual Class 2 NI payments and get a pension forecast. As I have the required ID it's easy to enter and use.

Also depending on your NI record look into catch up contributions and possibly paying Class 2 NI which is ridiculously inexpensive.

You might also want to check if you can add to your Canadian or Ontario pensions by transferring your entitlement to UK SP over there.  It may not be worthwhile but my understanding is that at least once in payment you will not be eligible for any increases in your SP as you are living in Canada.  That might change at some point if Canada and the UK get a reciprocal agreement in place.

fyi - I'm keeping mine separate as it appears I will get more paid that way - but I'm guessing somewhat as I can't get CPP to confirm what I will be paid, only that they'll start paying it to me in 2023.

You can’t transfer UK state pension to Canada. The only way to get increases to UK SP is to either move back to Britain or countries like US. Nothing to do with reciprocity; Canadian pensions do get CPI increases for retirees in the UK.
