Formal complaint in writing? Copy to your MP?

Just a quick update. After 14 months of numerous calls to pension line and very little progress I emailed my MP. Within 3 days received a call from DWP to say they had investigated the query and the pension increase would be in my next State pension payment. Received written confirmation along with a detailed breakdown of how the new figure was calculated a couple of weeks later. All sorted now.😄😄 Obviously DWP have a department dedicated to MPs complaints which are investigated and resolved very quickly.2

Not a dedicated department as far as I'm aware, but rather it gets flagged up as having been raised by an MP and then escalated quickly to the appropriate department for immediate action.gsw55 said:Obviously DWP have a department dedicated to MPs complaints which are investigated and resolved very quickly.0 -
I finally got through after a exactly 60 minutes wait while my call is still importent to them (is this time a coincidence ) on hold on the 29 sept only to find that after 9 months my payment was still on hold in the queue and not added to my pension but after 2 minutes on her computer the rep said she had pushed it through so it should now show on my forecast77shelf88 said:Well i paid in enough to get me near to the full pension and got a receipt on checking after 10 weeks to make sure it had been added to find my forecast to find it had not so have attempted to phone them a few time 0300 number not free for me apparently my call is important to them but not important enough to answer the phone as every time it has rung for over 100 minutes then cut off with out answering
