Barneysmom said:Hi I've got a 1.5kg bag of white flour to use up this week, what shall I do with it?
I thought about making some sort bread but my dilemma is that I don't know which is cheaper to run, the breadmaker or the oven - or even the slow cooker if I can find a recipe.
Or should I do a pile of plain biscuits or scones, but would they be okay to freeze or am I wasting money?
I've got cooking oil but only one egg left till tomorrow.1 -

Just find an airtight container for your flour to save it getting infested with mites and use when you’re ready or alternatively batch bake some scones or sponges you can use when you need them …..0

Or put the paper bag in an outer plastic freezer type bag & clip top. Will keep for a long time & the plastic outer prevents damage to not-all-that -strong paper bag. I have used mine a year past BB date: fine
Never had mites in mineBeing polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Hi @Barneysmom - why do you need to use up the flour? As others have said, it keeps for a very long time, if properly stored (i.e. in a bug proof container).
