I'm back under my duvet with my coffee, it's still a treat. My long trip yesterday was so lovely. The weather was bright and clear which gave me stunning views all the way down, Arran looked stunning and the sea was blue. My new hair cut and colour took ages, I'm so impatient at the 'cooking' part but this time I spent it talking music with the husband of my hairdresser, we exchanged great ideas and meandered through so many bands and acts. It was so enjoyable and made the time whizz past.Today my plans are fluid, I'm still dithering between two ideas so will drink some more coffee before plumping for one. It'll be down to the weather and being back in time for SCD.I hope that everyone is warm and safe. Happy Saturday to all.9

Morning folks and thanks GERS. A dry day and feeling quite mild. Yesterday was miserable with the mist hanging over us for most of the day.
No early bus trip into town this morning as DS is calling early doors to tackle a couple of jobs for me. The most pressing is removing the shower screen which is coming adrift and is in danger of falling on top of me!
The duvet covers arrived yesterday and although I am pleased with them I am not pleased with the look of 2 single duvets on the SK bed! I shall have to have a serious think about how I can improve it! Maybe a big throw on some sort to conceal where they meet down the middle of the bed might do it.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and poorly loved ones. NAN I hope Mr Fixit continues to feel a bit better. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"8 -
Morning All
Damp and dark this morning but fairly mild, it may be a day to visit the allotment to clear the last of the beds. I had an arch on one of the beds to grow beans over but it blew down in the wind, must go and tidy that up and take the bits to the tip.
Lovely day yesterday with DD and the little one, we went to a local country park for a walk and play at the new children's playground, played hide and seek in the trees on the walk back up the hill, little one hides behind the smallest of saplings and thinks as long as she keeps still we can't see her! We had lunch here and DD went to do some shopping while the little one had me playing dinosaurs on a horse in a fairy castle.
DS1 and his DP have gone to visit DS2 in The Netherlands, hope they are having a great time and sort out any differences they had a few years ago. The two partners are very sociable and get on very well, I'm glad they have got to the stage of visiting each other rather than just being polite to each other at Christmas, etc., and without children.
Going for a pool swim this morning, first time for a while and looking forward to it.
Hope Mr Fix It is feeling better.
Happy new haircut Gers.
TA, could you use the SK quilt to put over the two single quilts during the day? It wouldn't need washing too often if you aren't using it to sleep under.
Bet your work is interesting now Coxy?
Have a good weekend, take care. XX9 -
Morning all
Yesterday I was MIA, mainly cleaning for other people then I fell asleep when I got home. We went out last night to see friends. I font drink on these nights as then I can come home when I want.
I cancelled my shifts on the ward this weekend as they still have covid and I don't get any sick pay if I get it. I will go back to work the end of next week when hopefully the worst is over. Today is going to be spent mainly pottering about. I need to do a freezer inventory and make some curtains for the landing. Have a good day all 😊8 -
Morning everyone your trip yesterday sounds gorgeous we couldn’t see anything thick fog all day it’s bright today hubby is doing a tip run and he needs to fill the car I will be doing housework and some batch cooking then all set for strictly. I am going to go through my freezer I’m lost of with what’s in there and I have a birthday present to wrap it’s not until next month but I want it out of the way while I remember. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Hello all, well it's brighter today after a full day of rain yesterday but we're back to rain again tomorrow apparently. I did all the hoovering and dusting yesterday and I even hoovered all the dust up from around the back boiler which looked like it was having a Halloween of it's own with all the dust webs! I've got the old type of back boiler and it's over 35 years old, but it's still going strong.
Today I am doing the washing and I have a load already in the wm, the bedding will get done next. Hopefully it will dry if the rain keeps off for a while as it's windy too, if not it will be over the airer etc indoors. I have to sort out the freezer too as I have a leg of lamb right at the bottom which we will use up on Monday. Thanks for all the healing wishes for Mr Fix It, he seems to be more himself every day.
Right the wm has finished so I'll go and hang the washing out and then pray that it doesn't rain for a while.
Take care all, hugs to the poorly ones. Thinking of Poppy, MeanMarie and other MIA's

Morning all
Dry and bright here but it rained all yesterday and all night so the ground is very wet. I have put a towel load on to wash this morning and it can go on the line for a while.
Housework to do this morning and then I need to pop to mums and check out her online shop as she has got herself in a muddle with it, it wont take me long.
DD is off to meet a friend for a walk with their dogs so OH will take little pup out for a good walk and I will stay home and potterI may have a little sleep this afternoon.
Dinner tonight is prawn and chorizio risotto, there is wine in the fridge already
I really need to get started on birthday and xmas shopping, we have a lot of family Birthdays in the run up to xmas and I have usually bought all the presents by now so I am a bit behind.
Nels I hope you are ok and your hands are not too bad xxx
Have good days all xxx9 -
