Posthumous Council Tax rebate

I have recently successfully challenged my Council Tax band so will be due some money from when I moved in. They have backdated this to 1993 and my grandmother paid the council tax from 1993 to 2014 - is her estate due a posthumous payout for the overpayment?

I reclaimed my CT from a similar period, it was my late mother who was liable for it a good deal of that time, but as the account is now in your name, the money will come directly to you.
