Eon keep pestering me to have smart meters installed but concerned how it will affect my Solar FIT contract and exporting.
Any one have experience with this, i shouid say i am fairly obsessive about using as much self generated energy as i can and exporting as little as i can.

It will have absolutely no impact on your FIT or export payments.0

So they won't start measuring my export?0

The meter will measure your export but the supplier cannot access that information unless you apply to the supplier for a second MPAN. They will continue to pay you 50% exports.Krakkkers said:So they won't start measuring my export?
That said, you have the right to forego deemed export payments (whilst retaining the FIT generation payments) and claim SEG payments for all meter measured exports. In some cases, this can provide you with more export income. Octopus is paying 15p/kWh for fixed SEG and more for variable SEG:
