Hi, Natwest have passed one of my debts onto Wescot Debt Agency, but have left my other 3 debts with them remaining with Natwest, should I be more concerned with Westcot as Drafty passed another debt I have with CRS and so far they have only sent me numerous texts and a few emails.
You are not alone in this - we experienced the same with NatWest. We’re still struggling to work out whether they actually passed everything over to Moorcroft - Moorcroft said they did, no one at NatWest would speak to me to confirm, then NatWest defaulted one of the accounts 16 months after the rest without even sending a notice (of course they claim they did). Now I can’t seem to get someone to confirm who to write to at NatWest to ask for it to be backdated after 6 months of Moorcroft saying they were ‘looking into it’.

Conclusion - Natwest will do what they like when they like when it comes to debt collection and defaults.

Also agree with the poster above that doing a self managed process worked best for us in the end, we shouldn’t have been in a DMP and realised that after 8 months, but we were told by NatWest they would only deal with PayPlan, so few known choices at the time. Don’t think that’s actually true but 2 years down the line don’t think we can do anything about it.

Thanks Hanbab for your time replying, all in all we know that we have to pay for our debts, but none of them really want to make it simple and they wonder why people do what they do.

Hi, how far apart are arrears notices to actual defaults as I would say most of my creditors have either emailed or posted me these over the last few months, Lendable have emailed last Saturday there's.

Becks50, I know your keen for defaults to be added, and I understand your frustration when that is not happening, there is no set time limit on any of this, it`s all at the creditors discretion, but these thngs are taking longer due to the reasons I posted about previously.

You just have to wait and see really. Lenders are understandably interested in getting their money back so they often pressure people into starting payment plans even though they know it's bad for them. They know defaults are much better for you, but they are less likely to issue them as they are more likely to lose out financially.

Hi, has anyone dealt with ARC Debt collection service on behalf of nationwide, I have 2 other debt collection companies working for other creditors who have so far just emailed and text but these have tried calling today and have also sent a letter via the post, don't want to give in yet into starting my DMP but I will loose my wrag with these people if they carry on, if I could pay the full balance I would have done do so by now I don't need a 3rd party chasing me,  what planet do some companies live on.

I've had text messages and letters from ARC Europe about a Nationwide debt. One letter mentioned "further recovery action" if I didn't contact them within 14 days, but the "further recovery action" turned out to be a letter offering me "a significant discount".

That's just the way the game goes. Lenders want their money back.and they ofte make things as difficult for people as they can by not defaulting them and getting third parties to chase them. You either have to start paying or accept  thats the game and hold out until they default. As I said before you could do a self managed DMP and start paying the defaulted ones now, then you only have the difficult ones to think about.

Hi, I now have my 4th debt collection agency chasing me, as one of my creditors has passed my details to them.
But these are the only ones who have rang my house phone, all the others have rang my mobile, they are called Westcott and these look the worst out of all of them, has anyone had an experience with them and should I keep ignoring them until getting defaults.

Hi @Beck50, clearly I won't speak for all, but I've had pretty positive dealings with Wescot. They contacted me quite early into my DMP and I just confirmed I had a DMP with Stepchange which they were absolutely fine about. I don't receive anything from them now other than the occasional statement. I did need to contact them to double check that the balances on the three accounts they had aligned with what was in my DMP but they were super helpful and haven't at any point been pushy or threatening.
    Good luck.

I'd say it's best to ignore them, contacting them will probably delay getting the default you want.
