The LBA, if it ever comes, must now be in a standard format, with a reply form, giving you 30 days to reply.
How to do that is set out here

I've blocked many numbers on my landline, but I received a blocked number call at 10.30pm, as I have no answer phone could it have been a debt collection agency? As these are the numbers I've blocked?0

Hi All,
Has anyone dealt with Westcot or one of their many trading names, they are just ignoring my emails and just keep ringing my mobile and texting me.
Same time more or less everyday as though just going through motions of showing they've tried to contact people.0 -

Are you certain these debts have not defaulted ?Beck50 said:Halifax have sold my credit card and overdraft debt to Cabot Financial and since last Monday they have rang my home phone and mobile back to back at least once a day including today, this was 8.45am, but they no email address, I filled out an online email on their website but as many of the others have chosen to ignore and steam roll ahead and constantly keep chasing, any suggestions.
Increasingly we see debts sold on without been defaulted, it can be awkward when creditors don`t play according to the rules.
Have they stopped charging interest ?

You can insist on a dmp. If they refuse, you still have the options of Payplan and doing it yourselfBeck50 said:I have finally got all my creditors to default me so have gone back to Stepchange to start my DMP but because I have arrear it appears they seem to think an IVA is better so I cannot do a DMP is this good or bad.
If you want us to comment on why an IVA may or may not be appropriate (my belief is that 90% are mis-sold) then you would need to start your own thread and give us a statement of affairs0 -
This is a really interesting thread. Thankyou for all the info. I am about to embark on my own DMP journey so really appreciate the content0
