NatWest loan approval process

Hello! We applied for a joint home improvement loan.

We were sent the electronic agreement yesterday and we both signed it and it asked my partner a couple of questions about his address history.
No questions for myself. We both signed it online.

Im just wondering if anyone knows what the final checks are and what they actually do after you’ve signed?

Part of me hopes it’s just opening the loan account and all checks are done at this point (makes me think logically why do extra checks after sending the digital part to sign if it’s then looked at further). I’m just always super anxious about these things so thought rather than searching online and getting nowhere I’d see if anyone had and insights to the process of after signing. Thanks!!
