So after a nightmare few days (several months actually) I received this from our solicitor today……

I have received the completion certificates from ……solicitor. I will submit the certificate of title and funds request to the lender and inform……solicitor you want to complete on 28thOctober.

 

I will provide a completion statement setting out the balance due from you to complete once……solicitor produce the statement of account.

Can someone please tell me this is light at the end of tunnel???

You own the property when you have the keys in your hands and have exchanged and completed !

What fabulous news! I have no idea why purchasing property (or even the attempt to do so in the UK) is so tortuous - but it seems like you finally got there! Its like climbing a mountain but I think you're there
