Hi all, My bankruptcy recently fell away from my credit files, yes have checked all of them, and its now officially super clean, have paid all my credit cards religiously for 6 years as well as phone bills etc.. naturally all the ‘scores’ went through the roof once the BR fell away but i’m not getting any offers from a couple of searches..in fact i got more when i had the bankruptcy on the file 😂 - any ideas why?
I’m fully aware that the scores are a meaningless construct of the agencies so i only mentioned that to illustrate how the files have all improved immeasurably- i’m just interested that the world hasn’t opened up to
me at all, been waiting 6 years for this!

What recent lending do you have on file?
What credit are you trying to get?

Quite a tough time just now with the cost of living going through the roof, lenders are being just a tad more cautious at present who they are willing to lend too, as consumer debt is the last thing to be paid when budgets are squeezed.
Of course, there could also be 101 other reasons why you're not getting the offers, thin file for example, not the right target audience, really all you can do is keep a clear credit file, and see if things improve in time.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Interesting, thanks for that-does it make a difference who you search through…i just go through clearscore or experian but perhaps they have quite small panels? Or are they all the same?0

thanks for writing but sorry i was asking about the best place to search for offers, or are they all the same-i just wondered if some of these ‘middle-men’ sites had better/larger panels of lenders than others?0

You'll be better off with the eligibility checkers on the lender's own sites as they will be based on their criteria, not what some other website thinks their criteria is.
