Solar panels

I have had solar panels on my roof for many years now under the rent a roof scheme. I have today been contacted by an engineer who advised that they have not generated electric for a month and require attention. They are to be ‘fixed’ Saturday at no cost to us.
I feel that very soon the panels should be ours but I’m struggling to locate paperwork. Are the panels registered anywhere and is there a way of finding out who owns them?

How long have you had them? Have you contacted the compant that installed them to find out?

If they're paying attention and have come around to fix the system, it means they're paying attention and gives you a chance to check their current contact details.

The engineer should be able to give you the contact details for the rent-a-roof company. From memory, most rent-a-roof contracts ran for the duration of the FIT scheme which was 20 or 25 years from installation. The earliest installations would only be 12 years old now, so you've probably got another decade or so to go before the contract expires.N. Hampshire, he/him.
