Hi. New member so please be gentle. I am looking for some advice following a receipt of a debt letter from overdales solicitors

The alleged debt is an unpaid SKY TV . Overdales have provided dates of said debt but have not provided me with a copy of credit agreement and have stated
'Please be advised that this debt does not arise under an agreement for credit and therefore it is jot regulated by the consumer credit act 1974. This means that the original creditor is not required to retain a copy of the agreement, if it was in writing and therefore we are unable to obtain a copy'
I would like some advice on weather I should contact overdale as I do not believe this is my debt however I aware these people are find of under hans tricks to scare people into setting up payment schedules for debts which may not be theres

That's a bit of a non-response to your request to prove the debt. We know it's not a CCA debt. but there should be some evidence of a service being requested and agreed to.
Overdales are Lowell's tame solicitor. If they want to press on with this they must send you a pre-action letter with 30 days to reply.
If you get one, this is how to respond (tick box c and ask for everything in box i)
