Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dark, dry and chilly start to the day - rain forecast.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy..
Dinner last night was fish ,chips/rice/veg. Tonight will be LO roast with roast potatoes, veg and gravy.
Work was ok yesterday until my computer had been working then decided not to work, eventually then did start working again. Hoping today will not bring the same challenges.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC - I hope your computer behaves itself today. It wasn't a bad day yesterday, cold, but sunny.I visited my friend, she loves a chat. She's 88 and has a lot of health problems, and can't go out alone now, but she's still interested in what's going on in the world, and in the lives of her many friends. The rest of the day was just catching up with things really, nothing in particular. Today will probably be the same. Well, there's our Residents' Association meeting this morning, though I think that the group will fold soon through lack of support, and the quiz tonight.Hope everyone else has a good day today, take care folks10

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, hope that computer behaves itself. The one I use at work has a dodgy connection to the monitor, it goes off if the big box is knocked so I have to give it a nudge with my foot every now and again!
Still raining here, it's been dismal this last week or so and quite chilly, the fire has been lit every night but so far no heating.
Enjoy the quiz tonight Scarlet, shame about your residents meetings.
Must return my books to the library after work, I forgot yesterday and will be getting a fine soon! Washing up to date and the house is still fairly tidy, apart from the front bedroom which is full of clothes I have to pick from to take away at the weekend.
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX8 -
Morning folks.Yesterday was fairly chilly, I pulled out the winter leggings to wear under my trousers. After visiting a neighbour I began to drive up to Oban but turned back. Even though my fridge is bare I have eggs, bread and a full freezer so decided that I didn't need anything until later in the week. 😀 As I'm cutting back on my food intake it made sense to not buy more yet, I'm going to Glasgow on Thursday so can shop on the way home on Friday. After that my day was quiet. Despite the chill I didn't light my fire but I was cosy enough.Today will be another slothful time. 😱 Apart from a quick trip into town I have nothing high up on my agenda. The onset of winter brings out my inner lazy person!I hope that everyone is doing well, keep warm. Happy Tuesday to all.9

Morning..and what a yuk cold and miserable morning it is...Today, no plans, not beyond a general tidying away of clothes and finding the winter ones. Now I'm needing glasses to read with, it's getting more difficult to see what is what, thanks to my predlliction for black clothes. Now, they all the look the same to me whereas before, I'd be able to tell which was which. An odds and ends wash to do and that should be it. The lasagne was good, I thought of a new trick, when I made the bechamel sauce, I put some powdered stock in the sauce to beef it up a bit tastewise. Worked too. Didn't get round to looking for a mattress, I fell asleep after lunch out...And arm is sore and lumpy at injection sites but brucie bonus, I got a normal flu shot too so happy about that....Ruby, glad you are finding all sorts for free for her. Try gumtree, fb marketplace and freecyle/feegle too. Someimes you'll find a gem. TA, glad you've found a substitute for now...nanny, your head must have been my heads sister...Tydfil Thomas
condolences to mr fixit and hope your dd throws it off soon. Rosy, super productive day then! I might try your retail therapy pain management
Gers, my inner lazy person never needs an excuse to hunker down somewhere...enjoy being lazy, it's fun! Look after yourselves all, it's a fresh one today...

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Brr another nippy start but I know there will be worse to come!
Finally back to Tuesday coffee, chat and lunch today with BFF. It was going to be last week but her Covid jab knocked her for six. We have lots of catching up to do!
So not much will get done today as I won't be home till about 3.00 pm. And if I have a big lunch there will be no cooking to do, just a bowl of hm soup and a ham salad bagel should be enough at tea time. I made a big pot full of soup yesterday to cover the next few days.
Yes DP1 we went to Istanbul some years ago. We had a winter week there (who knew Turkey got so cold in winter!) and enjoyed it greatly. So much to see and do and many restaurants to try out in the old town. Our hotel had an open air roof top bar which wasn't open in the winter months but you could still go up there to take in all the surrounding views.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies or fed up. Take care all and be safe. xx

Morning all
Its a bit dull and overcast here but the sun is due out later on, I have got a wash on the go and I will hang it out for a while.
I took my clients bowling and for lunch at the golden arches yesterday, one of them loved it, she suffers from constant pain due to arthiritis but finds joy in every little thing, she has asked to come for two days after Xmas which will be lovely ! The other young lady is the complete opposite nothing is ever good enough for her, she moaned about bowling incase her arm hurt, and then did not want a burger (she did not want to pay for herself but would have been happy if I paid) she was then very rude about my private client who happened to be at bowling, she said i dont like people like that, I asked why and she said he makes noises and she doesnt like to be round people like that ! She tests my patience every week so I contacted the scheme to tell them I dont want her again, she is not suitable for me at all, she wants a PA who will have just her, and she wants to sit and moan at someone all day, which cant be me I am far too active for that and the constant moaning really gets me down, she has a lot to look forward to in her life but cant see joy in anything, her mum told me she doesnt want her mixing with people with learning difficulties as they are not normal even though she has a LD herself, I feel for the girl but she is not right for me at all.
Todays clients are a joy to be with and I have booked us tickes (free) to an art gallery, one of them is an excellent painter and should enjoy it and the other is happy to go along with anything, we will take a picnic lunch and have a walk along the canel after.
I need to go and look in the freezer for something for dinner, I think there is some mince so might do a spag bol.
Have good days all and sorry for the moan7 -

I've just got home from my night shift. It's a lovely, cold sunny day here, so I've got washing on. I'll stick it on the line in a bit. I'm waiting up for the electrician to appear. DP and DS are still in bed so I've had toast in peace after feeding the cats. Hopefully I'll manage a snooze later. I can't stay up on no sleep like I used to. Have a fabulous day all7 -
Morning all,bit dull today.DDog got me up early as she wanted to go out for a wee, ageing bladder, I sympathise
I took her out for her walk after that.
RR, we all come on here for a moan sometimes, but it must be difficult to be hearing it all day when you are doing your best.Taff I hate having to put reading glasses on and off all the time so I try not to sometimes but I can't really manage with some tasks!I'm debating whether to take a top back that I got yesterday, I think it's a bit big so I'll try it on again and see what DH thinks. It was in the sale so I have 14 days to return it.Tea tonight will be something from the butchers pack I'm to pick up later.Have a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning everyone
It's another nice morning here though it feels quite chilly. I have work this afternoon so will get some jobs done first - I need to make a lasagne for tea tonight. I cooked the sauce on Sunday so nice and easy.
Spent a nice hour yesterday looking for Christmas ideas for little one - she told me she'd like Santa to bring pirates and dinosaurs! I've found some nice Happyland things so they could be from granny rather than Santa. I was going to get her a new dolls pram as hers here is titchy but might get that for her birthday instead which is only a week after Christmas! My mam has her a bath and doll already for Christmas.
Redruby - stick with your happy clients, you don't want a moany person bringing the mood down. The others sound lovely. She's obviously learnt from her mums attitude though which is sad.
TA - enjoy your day out and catch up
Hope everyone has a good day today x9 -
Hi everyone,
I'm finally beginning to feel human, hopefully it will continue, I'm dying to see Nate again, he's changing so much. Esben is off to nursery today so I want to try to accomplish some of the things that don't get done when he's around or need to be done without a "helper".
I took him to a music and movement type session yesterday but some of the mums were talking among themselves so loudly they were drowning out the music. Esben stuck close to me most of the time although he's not usually a shy child.
I made a slow cooked beef brisket on Sunday with enough leftovers so that we can have beef rolls with french dip for dinner tonight, easy tea because I only have to make the dip, everyone can assemble their own sandwiches.
There's not a lot else to report.
Ruby, I'm glad your daughter is getting back on her feet, the best of good luck to her.
dp1, I'm another who has been to Istanbul, Steve used to go over frequently on business at one time and I went once, there are some beautiful sights there.
Have a good day.
