Morning folks. The bright pink sky and rising winds are promising a rough day. I need a refill of my coffee mug.

Morning all. Sunny but not yet warm here so far.
Yesterday went well and I got most things done on my list but then I couldn't get the tv to come on to watch the rugby - disaster! DH arrived home about 4pm and promptly switched the S** box off and back on, which sorted it out, and I was a happy bunny again! Why didn't I think of doing that?!
Today we have Sis in Law coming back to stay with us until we take her to the airport on Friday. Tomorrow we have tickets for Windsor Castle, which means driving via the M1, M25 and M4! Plan to park at Datchet and get the train in. We can also walk across the bridge at Windsor to show her Eton if we have enough time and energy. Early start required and it will be a long day.
Have a restful Sunday everyone.11 -
Yesterday turned into a bright sunny though chilly day. My breakfast date was most enjoyable and set me up for the day. Not that it was very productive, turning on the dishwasher and washing machine can't possibly count as such, not even hanging up the washing or putting away the dishes. I did get over-exercised watching SCD, mostly with irritation with pockets of laughter.I can't see today being any better. The forecast is rather dire, just waiting for the rain storm to arrive. My day will be spent browsing and maybe picking up a new project on my favourite citizen science website.I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Sunday to all.11

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's a bit nippy here but the sun is shining and forecast to stay with us all day (allegedly!) so the temps should rise a bit.
Probably another Slothful Sunday in store after a couple of jobs. The washing machine is currently doing its thing with a dark load in and the dw will go on next. I got a small gammon joint out to cook for lunch and there should be enough left for the next couple of days. Veg yet to prep and I am going to do some cauli cheese as well as I think it goes so well with gammon. I shall do enough of everything to warm up tomorrow. After lunch it will be feet up and probably watching Strictly again, but ff the waffle.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies or fed up. IZZY ouch that sounds painful I hope you manage to speak (or better still see) a doctor tomorrow. Take care all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning
It's a breezy, sunny day in Kent, just right for some washing. Off to complain to W*****s today about my incomplete kitchen. I still have no oven. So today we're going to the carvery for dinner. It's costing a fortune but I need some proper food. Other than that I'm off to hang out the washing and make brunch. Have a lovely day9 -
Morning all
Bright and sunny day here but a bit chilly, yesterday turned into a glorious day and it was really quite warm in the afternoon.
I have stripped the beds this morning and got the bedding on a hot wash it can go on the line and will hopefully dry. DW to empty this morning and a quick tidy round.
Izzy that eye sounds so sore hope you can get some help xxx
Nels wouldnt that have been fab, we could have kitted DD out from your mums home xxx
Have good days all xxx9 -
Hello all, I got all the washing done and dried yesterday as it was a lovely day. It's now overcast so I won't strip the bed and wash the bedding, tomorrow will do 🤞
I had a text from DD last night, she's been suffering with a sore throat for a few days and has now tested positive for covid, that's the second time 😷 She thinks she caught it from her children as a lot of them have been sent to school coughing and sneezing. Probably all the family will go down with it now. She has sent SiL to get some extra paracetamol but we suggested he gets chocs and gin instead 😁
I have some cooking apples so I'm going to make a crumble, I'll add in some of the blackberries from my garden and I'll cook it while the oven is on for the meat and roasties. Other than that I'll have a chill out day and finish watching This England, only 2 episodes to go now.
Wicked lady strange you should mention your sky box, that happened here one day last week too.
Izzy hope those anti b's work quickly and you are pain free asap.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday
Take care and stay safe all

Morning (just)
Lazy day in progress here as is the law on a Sunday. Just bought a pile of toiletries online for mum as she doesn't tell me if something runs out so just got what I think she needs.
Visit on Friday and as expected she didn't remember it was her own things I took her but she was ver pleased with it all. She is settled well and was off like a shot when lunch started! Her carer was telling me they were arranging a drive through of Blackpool illuminations. She said "no I hate Blackpool its so common" her carer then said oh that's a shame we are stopping for fish and chips. Suddenly she wanted to go!!
Nothing much going on here my major achievement likely to be bin run. Will watch SCD today but likeTA it will probably be later when I can skip all the waffle
Have a good day all7 -
Afternoon everyone
Just having a catch up on here then it's a lazy afternoon with my Sunday Times. DD picked little one up about 2.30 - after lunch we'd done leaf rubbings with crayons and made a very gluey leaf picture. We went down to mam and dads this morning for coffee which was nice - my brother was there for a bit too.
Just been texting eldest DD - she's just arrived at a very fancy hotel just outside Istanbul - she's off to the spa now! It should be an interesting trip as they're visiting the mills and factories where the company's clothes are made. also being wined and dined which she will enjoy....it's a good job she will eat anything now - when she was a little girl she was the fussiest eater ever.
Hope you're all having a good day x5
