I must say that for once I’m feeling quite lucky having felt like a pretty oppressed pension receiver for the last few years. I really deferred both my own and my wife’s old state pension which had a very generous deferment rate, and although my final benefits old corporate pension scheme has virtually zero increase, the state increases next year with having some sub-inflation interest on savings and some cash for the leccy makes me feel a bit more optimistic. I think I might even tear open a packet of wine gums.
