Halifax mortgage extension

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has been in the same situation? or can offer any help?
I had a mortgage offer from Halifax which had an expiry date of the 30.09.2022 I asked my broker to see if I could get an extension, she said all was fine and that Halifax were automatically extending offers until 31.10.2022.
However, I haven't had any written confirmation in the post or otherwise and I have also seen another post on the forum where only the conveyancer can apply for the extension.
I have emailed the conveyancer with no reply, my next step is trying to phone Halifax.
thank you

@missplant These are the details for this one-off blanket extension offered by Halifax for products expiring 30/09/2022. As per the broker email from Halifax, it doesn't look like an automatic extension and only the conveyancer can request one, hopefully your broker did tell you that, or your solicitor has already extended it.

Thank you, I will contact my broker and conveyance to see if the offer can be extended as at the moment it doesnt look like we have an official extension.

I'm not trying to blame you here but how did you, your broker and the conveyancer all miss the expiry date?Is completion imminent? If you've already exchanged and will need to still go ahead with the rates as they are now (over 5%) and your broker can't be certain of an extension then it would be prudent to get your broker to lock in a rate now with another lender before they go up again.0

No completion isn't imminent, I haven't exchanged, nor will I be until I have confirmation from Halifax that we have the extension at the rate from when I first applied.1 -
Hope you get the extension sorted. It looks like it's just a matter of the conveyancers applying for an extension and it'll be granted to the 31st.
