P87 Claim History/Query

Good evening everyone
Relative newbie so please go easy in me!
I’ve just completed this year’s P87 form for subscription fees associated with my job. Unfortunately, missing paperwork for the previous year has led me to believe that I forgot to claim for the last financial year (21/22).
My two questions are:
1) Is it possible to see my P87 history to see what I have previously claimed?
2) If the answer to the previous question is “no”, would it be okay to complete a P87 form for that ‘missing’ year and just submit? Is there any consequences if I do submit a form and it turns out that I had already previously claimed?
Thanks for taking the time to read my post - any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. Don't think so no.
2. Wouldn't you be better checking the tax code that was in use at the end of that tax year (on your P60) to see if it looks like you had already received any tax relief due?
If your current 2022:23 tax code (prior to the claim you have just submitted) is the emergency code of 1257L then that's an indication that it is unlikely you have claimed for the prior year as HMRC normally assume you will continue to make the same subscriptions from one year to another and you then just need to notify them if they cease or the amounts paid change.0 -
