Mortgage Audit

Hi there
We are first time buyers & had our mortgage accepted with Satander just over 2 and a half weeks ago (which we were over the moon about as then the rates shot up again!)
The offer was posted to us at home and uploaded to a portal for our broker.
It was never sent to our solicitor.
Our broker struggled to get hold of them, but eventually did after a few days of trying and was told its been pulled for a "random audit" they then asked for copies of our p60s which we sent over straight away. This was over a week ago.
We haven't had an update since and each day becoming more worried as we are scared they won't want to honour the lower interest rate so might be looking for a reason to reject it so we would have to re apply with the higher interest.
We are getting a lot of pressure from the seller/estate agent/solicitor as they were wanting to exchange and complete this Monday, everything is ready, they are just waiting for us.
Is anyone else going through the same thing , or had it happen to them? We are not sure now long to wait for them to get back to us, is it worth applying for another mortgage in the meantime before the rates go up again?
