Shell Energy will pay an extra £150 to over 150,000 of its customers who get the Government's Warm Home Discount this winter – meaning those eligible will get £300 in total from both payments.

    I received an email from Shell telling me that they had applied an additional £150 support energy (to match the government £150 I received in December) on 27th February. When they took payment on 3rd March this had not been applied to my account. I contacted them asking why they had told me this had been applied to my account in their email of 27th Feb, and they said it would be applied to my March bill..... Now they have issued my March bill I can see it has still not been applied. I emailed them today and this was their response .... 
    'The extra £150 has been delayed and we are still in the process of having it applied once we receive feedback to when this will happen we will inform you'.
    Has anyone else had this problem (false promise) from Shell .... I am wondering what this is about ...

    The additional £150 was applied to the bill of my in-laws dated 17th March so they have come good on their promise for this customer.  Looks like they were too late to apply it for your March 3rd statement.
