Natwest Remortgage 6 Month Question

Hello there, new to the forum and looking for some advice!

My Natwest 1.53% 2 year fixed mortgage expires June 30th 2023 so I can renegotiate on December 30th 2022.

If I choose a new deal on the 30th December, will this be effective immediately or will it not kick in until my current deal expires?

Many thanks

NatWest only showed us new deals 3 months before the mortgage expired. Not sure if that has changed now though!
  • Thank you! How recent was this?

It did change a few months ago (1 july 2022). I remortgaged in early June for end of September effective date, then a couple of weeks later this came in. We could have fixed way lower if it was in place before.

@bluebell1000 This changed to 6 months from July 2022.

@soundrunner With regard to the date, to be precise, if your fix ends 30/06/2023, you will be able to select a new product from 3rd Jan. At least that's what NatWest has told intermediaries about PT windows.

  • Thanks or this, how come it would be 3rd Jan and not 30th Dec?
