Annual Rise?

Do occupational pension providers use the September inflation rate as part of their uprating amount?

Thanks

Its scheme dependant, you will have to ask them (my scheme uses January for example)

Are you talking about annual increases to pensions in payment, or the annual revaluation of 'deferred' pensions?
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

Some information about revaluation in deferment here.

For pensions in payment, the revaluation month is scheme dependent so not necessarily April - relative's scheme uses May.

For private sector DB pensions in payment rises are, to an extent, dependent on scheme financial health. With the market turmoil this might affect rises, your scheme will have the details and caveats about rises and caps.

Annual rises are contractual and are not dependant on the health of the scheme, the caps on rises are again contractual and will be outlined in the scheme documentation.
