There have been some updates from DWP about how things are progressing.
Given the overall numbers involved (237k to get payments per NAO) it's fair to say there is a long way to go.

My mum has been waiting to hear back from them too. She first contacted them in April 2021 and again in August 2021. They said at that point that they didn't have any of her details in the system so took note of them again.
She contacted them again in February 2022. They confirmed they did have her details this time and she should wait to be contacted. She's decided to wait until the end of 2023 before contacting them again.1 -
I haven't been waiting as long as some ladies but waiting from last October. Think i will email but can I ask who you lovely ladies emailed to? Many thanks0

I don't think there is an e-mail, is there? As far as I know, the only way to contact them is to phone them or request information through the government website. Happy to be proved wrong though.Kaccyduck said:I haven't been waiting as long as some ladies but waiting from last October. Think i will email but can I ask who you lovely ladies emailed to? I had an issue with DWP over voluntary NI payments. Despite numerous phone calls to usually very pleasant people over a 14 month period got nowhere. A quick email to my MP and DWP came back to me with a resolution in a matter of days. So I would suggest the advice of contacting you MP is an option worth considering0

definitely contact your MPs. They need to know the effects that constantly cutting the civil service has.

I thought I’d give an update for anyone in a similar boat to us.littlemissbossy said:My husband enquired regarding his late mother in November 2020, so almost two years ago,
I know they will have had lots of queries but I think that's pretty pants really. My husband finally received a reply in November, so just the five years later, my mother in law had been underpaid. We received the payment a couple of weeks later.Edited to add, not one of the two letters we received mentioned the word sorry, for the delay and much worse the original errors.Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.5 -
Thanks for coming back to update
