I have 2 pairs of trainers which have broken insoles.
Any ideas on how to fix them? I can't walk on them without pain. Or is the best idea to replace them?
The soles are fine by the way.

Just replace the insoles? You can get ones in varying quality from different shops and chemists. Or online but that might not be worth it for the postage. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.3 -
have a look if you can in a larger branch of Boots or Superdrug (thats perhaps more in the southeast) if the soles are OK then buy some insoles and fit them in No point wasting trainers if they have more miles in them I wear sketchers as they are really comfotable and get at least 2-3 years wear out of them and at around £50 a pop its well worth wearing them until almost unwearable, but there again I do prefer comfortable shoes and a decent mattress as you are either in one or the other

If you have a branch of Primark they do memory foam insoles for £1 which I buy and trim to the correct size and then put them into all my pairs of walking shoes. I find they last at least a year at an average of 5 km per day. I always remove the manufacturer's insoles from all my shoes as in my experience they're never very good quality even in the expensive Hotter shoes I buy.
The other place I've seen a similar bargain is in the local Age UK charity shop where they have a display of new small and useful items and those were also £1 the pair. So if you're anywhere near one of their shops it might be worth you popping in.4 -
That's one thing my ma always said (and I've heard Gloria Hunnybum say it too). Always spend good money on your bed and your shoes, for if you're not in one you're in the other. As I suspected, somebody has been adding soil to my garden. The plot thickens...3
