So what is Lightscape? Basically, it’s a magical illuminated trail in Brooklyn, NYC, with over a million lights across a huge number of individual artworks. Fascinating installations from the sold-out first season will be back this year, alongside new ones.

GENERAL COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. The Competition begins at 12.15am on 23 September 2022 (the “Start Date”). The Competition closes at 11:45pm on 21 October 2022 (the “End Date”).
2. The Competition is open to all UK residents over the age of 18, except employees of Time Out and the Prize Provider, its agents, contractors and their family members.
3. Multiple entries will not be accepted.
4. By uploading your Entry, you understand that you are entering the Competition and agree to these Competition rules (the “Rules”). Time Out reserves the right to exclude any Entry from the Competition at any time if they have a reason to believe that the entrant has breached any of the Rules.
5. Copyright in all Entries submitted for this Competition remains with the respective entrants. However, entrants agree that by submitting an Entry to the Competition, they grant Time Out a royalty free, perpetual irrevocable worldwide licence to use and republish their Entry. This includes sharing the Entry through social media and publication by Time Out worldwide in any of their publications, their websites and/or in any promotional material.
6. The winner will be notified by the Prize Provider by email from either lauren.candler@mischiefpr.com or caitlin.banton@mischiefpr.com, within 5 days of the End Date.
7. The winner will be selected at random from a computer-generated ballot. There will be one winner.
8. The prize package includes: two return flights from an airport in London, United Kingdom, to an airport in New York, United States of America, for the Winner and their guest, departing on 15th November 2022 and returning on 18th November 2022, hotel accommodation in New York City for two (shared room) for the trip, two tickets to the Lightscape at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden on 16th November 2022 and a $500 spending voucher for the Winner to spend between the 15th and 18th November 2022 in New York City (the “Prize Package”).
9. The winner must be aged 18 or over.
10. All Entries must be submitted by the original writer of the Entry.
11. The winner may be required to participate in publicity which may include having their photograph taken for promotional and press purposes.
12. All Entries considered inappropriate or offensive by Time Out will be disqualified.
13. The Prize Package will be provided by Prize Provider.
14. The winner will be notified within 5 days of the End Date using the contact information submitted when uploading their Entry. The winner may be asked to provide identification. Any winner who is not contactable or who fails to return contact within 72 hours of notification will be disqualified, they thereby forfeit their right to the prize, no compensation will be given and a reserve entrant will be selected as an alternative winner.
15. The names of the winner may be obtained by sending a written request with a stamped addressed envelope stating which competition you would like the winner’s details for, to Time Out England Limited, 1st Floor, 172 Drury Lane, London WC2B 5QR or by email to competitions@timeout.com by 22 November 2022. Any winners details shared will be limited to surname and country only, in accordance with ASA guidelines on the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation.
16. The Prize Package and any part of it is non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable.
17. Time Out accepts no liability for any loss or damage howsoever caused, including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss or damage or personal injury (with the exception of death or personal injury caused by Time Out’s own negligence) suffered or sustained in connection with the Prize Package.
18. In the event of unforeseen circumstances Time Out and the Prize Provider reserve the right to substitute the Prize Package for an alternative of equal or greater value.
19. Time Out accepts no responsibility if the Prize Provider refuses to issue the prize.
20. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of Time Out and/or the Prize Provider and which prevents Time Out and/or the Prize Provider from complying with the Rules, neither Time Out or the Prize Provider will be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing their obligations. Time Out reserves the right to modify, delay, postpone or cancel the Competition in the event of circumstances outside of its reasonable control.
21. This Competition and the Rules shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
22. By entering the Competition, all entrants consent to the processing of their personal data by Time Out for the purposes of administration of this Competition.
23. The Competition promoter is Time Out England Limited 1st Floor, 172 Drury Lane, London WC2B 5QR and all references to Time Out shall mean Time Out England Limited. Time Out shall have the right to license all and any rights granted to Time Out to its associated companies and licensees.

SPECIFIC PRIZE TERMS & CONDITIONS

•  The Prize Package includes:

○  Two round trip flights (economy class) from an airport(s) in London, United Kingdom, to an airport(s) in New York, United States of America, departing on 15th November 2022 and returning on 18th November 2022.

○  Two tickets to visit Lightscape at Brooklyn Botanic Gardens in New York City, USA on the 16thof November 2022.

○  Three nights’ hotel accommodation at a bed and breakfast (one shared room) for 15thNovember 2022 to 18th November 2022 in New York City.

○  $500 USD pre-paid spending voucher to spend between 15th November 2022 and 18thNovember 2022 in New York City.

•  The entire prize must be used between the following dates (*Winner and guest must fly on the same flight):

○  15th November 2022: departing from an airport in London, United Kingdom, and flying to an airport in New York, United States of America.

○  18th November 2022: departing from an airport in New York, United States of America, and flying to an airport in London, United Kingdom.

•  Flight times and dates may be subject to change due to factors outside of the reasonable control of the Prize Provider.
•  Travel expenses to and from the airport(s) in London and New York will not be covered by the Prize Provider and are not included in the Prize Package.
•  The Winner and guest must each have a valid passport and visa if applicable, or a visa waiver, and are responsible for obtaining such required travel documentation. The winner and guest must satisfy any governmental requirements, including providing proof of full set of COVID-19 vaccinations, in order to fly, enter and stay in the United States for the trip. Note that there may be additional COVID-19 governmental restrictions, for which Winner and their guest must comply. COVID-19 testing may occur at New York airports. The Winner and their guest are each responsible for entering their personal information required for the flights.
•  The Winner and guest are responsible for their own travel and medical insurance, airport transfers to and from the airport(s) in London, United Kingdom and airport transfers to and from the airport(s) in New York, United States of America, and any other expenses in using the Prize Package.
•  Each part of the Prize Package is strictly subject to availability.
