Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dark, dry and breezy start to the day. Rain forecast off and on.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was HM chicken and mushroom pie served with mash, fresh veg and gravy - no LO's - all eaten and enjoyed. Tonight clear up of the fridge.
Work will be a busy day - so hoping all is as it should be! Last day of my working week, once I finish this afternoon I'm on days' off until Monday.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's damp here, we had some heavy rain yesterday and last night. We were busy in the kitchen yesterday, did the ceiling, then I walked round the worktops with dh holding the stepladder, and cleaned the tops of the wall units, and the ceiling lights.Dh glossed the door frames last night, but I've just been looking at them and they'll need another coat.Dd had asked us to pick up the dgc's from school and keep them till they came back from their holiday cottage, where they'd gone to tidy and vacuum after having some decorating done. Carpets are being laid there today, so they wanted the floors clean. We've got a hairdressers appt at 9am but we won't be there long, we'll be home before10, then we can get on again. That's the plan anyway.Hope everyone is ok, thinking of any poorly or sad people.Take care folks.11

Morning All
Gosh, you sound busy Scarlet! Be careful on that ladder.
Dry this morning but still dark, I think it's to stay dry today and then rain tomorrow. No washing to do today, everything dried yesterday outside and I even did the ironing!
Started to clear the greenhouse last night as it's bin day today, it suddenly looks very empty. Any tomatoes left aren't going to ripen now but I have a big bowl full to use up and I gave loads to my next door neighbour. The chillies are still going strong so will leave them for another few weeks.
Enjoy your walk Coxy.
Have a good day, take care. XX11 -
Morning folks.Yesterday I did my legal business and then went to the cinema but not to watch a film. There wasn't anything which took my fancy so I had a spot of lunch instead, they do a lovely Korean chicken. The cinema is very small, inside Princes' Square, so it's handy. Other than that I was fairly lazy in direct contrast to Scarlet. 😁
The decorator has finished, he sent me a series of photos of the two bedrooms, they look so fresh and inviting. I'm looking forward to putting things back in place though still cogitating how to best use the spare room now. After breakfast I'll be having a chat with my SIL, we're back to our weekly phone calls. In the afternoon I have a beauty appointment. Only one more night here.I hope that everyone is doing well, happy Thursday to all.12 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. A lull before the storm for us. Today promises to be a nice but chilly day but then tomorrow the forecast sounds horrendous.
We had the usual enjoyable day out yesterday in Skipton, with a lovely lunch and wine. Much chatting, reminiscing and putting the world to rights. It's a pity we can't have these trips out every day!
Kitchen and bathroom clean to do this morning and then I need to pop down into town. My hot brush blew up yesterday, amid a cloud of smoke!! Eeek it frightened me to death! So a replacement is an essential piece of kit for my hair which has a mind of it's own. It's forever been the bane of my life!
I've just been trying to compile a sm list and there are more items than ever out of stock. It seems that's a sign of the times these days and getting worse. Oh well I'll keep checking before delivery day!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, fed up or worried.. NELS my fingers are crossed there are no setbacks for you, life has been stressful enough for you. COXY enjoy your walking, it doesn't sound like my idea of fun these days. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -

Morning all, it's a dull and damp day here. I did get over the van yesterday but there was no room in the car for the seat cushions so we'll have to go over again another day. Now the house looks like a jumble sale with all the van stuff everywhere because I have to clean it all before I put it away properly. Oh well I'll work my way through it slowly.
Today we have DGD here as she has a head cold and Dad is also due for lunch if he feels up to it, he had his flu jab yesterday so may not come over. I have my flu jab next week, seems the surgery are doing Wed afternoon clinics just for jabs. I have a gammon joint in the slow cooker, so I'll make a cheese and potato pie and have that with runner beans and peas for lunch. I think there's an apple pie in the freezer if any pud is needed.
Right breakfast calls, have a good day if you can.
Take care all

Morning all; dull and drizzly here today.
Yesterday was spent volunteering at the Community Larder all morning and then we had a meeting at the end of the session to see if we could change or improve anything. It's getting very busy, which is good, but we need to make sure things are fair for everyone.
I think I'm still feeling the after effects of my Booster as I felt extremely tired again in the afternoon and nearly nodded off on the sofa. I didn't have the energy to do much for dinner so we had a microwaved curry and rice.
Today DH is doing a tip run with lots of packaging and rubbish left over from the wedding so I'll be helping to load the car. I'm then going shopping with DD and I need to get a new kettle as the lid isn't staying down properly on ours because one of the prongs has broken. Tonight I have another AGM so a trip down the M1 for me.
Salmon and roasted veg for us tonight, using up one of the last courgettes from the garden. Bought a pack of 3 peppers so the others will go in a Thai chicken curry tomorrow night.
Have a good day everyone.11 -
Morning all
Dry here all day but heavy rain due tomorrow, I have my private client today and I always enjoy being with him, he is so easy going and is happy as long as he gets his chips for lunch, he is deaf and non verbal but we get by with my limited makaton sighs, I usually pop in the shop on the way back to get him some sweets which is the highlight of his day !
Yesterday my client overslept and did not arrive till after 11, so I cleaned out the fridge and made a beef casserole for tonights dinner, its all ready in the fridge and dd will put it in a low oven this afternoon, we have some nice crusty bread to go with it.
I will put a wash on before I leave today and dd can hang it out, dw has also been emptied.
Nels I am keeping everything crossed that it all completes for you on Tuesday xxx
Have good days all xxx8 -

Morning all, it rained hard last night and was cloudy when I got up but it's clear again now. We lit the log burner mid morning yesterday as it felt so cold, then I had to open the hall door and let some heat upstairs as I got too hot!DH has gone to work for a bit, the physio has given his knee the ok now, just working on his dodgy hips every couple of weeks. I made chicken curry for tea, which we had earlier than expected after picking DGS up, I had to hurry him up - they were being picked up by DS friend to go and watch his DD play a football match at the Etihad complex. I think they were all impressed by the facilities.I'm going to have a bit of a sort out of the freezers, need to make some room! How often do we say thatHave a good day RR.Nels- fingers crossed.Gers sounds like you had a good day, and Scarlet a busy one. Hope everyone has a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)10
